Arranged by SOVA / Time Together and networking with YMCA Cardiff as part of Refugee Week (18th-24th June), this social evening will be a celebration of culture and diversity in Cardiff through music, song, dance, stories, food and traditional dress.

'Celebration of the Refugee' in Wrexham
Refugee Voice Wales is taking the lead to organise “Celebration of the Refugee Week in Wrexham” This event will brings individuals and Refugee Voice members together with members of the host community to showcase their skills, talents and knowledge. This approach provides an opportunity for the participants to share experiences of living in a multicultural society and create action towards social change and advancement.
The event aims to nurture and promote a greater understanding between refugees, asylum seekers and the host community. Working towards the goal of active civil participation, positive community learning exchange and meaningful activity towards social cohesion as described with the Wrexham Charter.
The event is underpinned by the need to promote positive images of refugee and asylum seekers.It will provide a platform for refugee and asylum seekers and members of the host community who have talents or something to share through dance, singing and vocal presentations, African drumming and poetry recitals.
Special Guests: Lord Mayor of Wrexham, Robert Edwards of Wrexham Borough County Council, Themba Moyo – Chairperson of Refugee Voice Wales and Aled Edwards OBE from The Commission for Racial Equality
